Newsleader – 85നു മുകളില്‍ പ്രായമുള്ളവര്‍ക്കും 40 ശതമാനത്തിനുമേല്‍ ശാരീരികവെല്ലുവിളി നേരിടുന്നവര്‍ക്കും വീട്ടില്‍ വോട്ടുചെയ്യാനുള്ള സൗകര്യം ഒരുക്കും. ഇരുവിഭാഗങ്ങളിലുമായി 52,236 വോട്ടര്‍മാരാണ് ജില്ലയിലുള്ളത്. ഇവര്‍ക്കുള്ള അപേക്ഷാഫോറമായ 12 ഡി ബി.എല്‍.ഒ.മാര്‍ വഴി വിതരണം തുടങ്ങി. മുന്‍കൂര്‍ അറിയിച്ചശേഷം തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ വീട്ടിലെത്തി ഇവരുടെ വോട്ട് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തും. വോട്ടര്‍മാരുടെ പട്ടികയും ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ വീടുകളിലെത്തുന്ന സമയവും സ്ഥാനാര്‍ഥികളെയും രാഷ്ട്രീയപാര്‍ട്ടികളെയും മുന്‍കൂട്ടി അറിയിക്കും. 12 ഡി അപേക്ഷ നല്‍കിക്കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ ബൂത്തിലെത്തി വോട്ടുചെയ്യാനാകില്ല.
