Newsleader – 2032 ഓടേ കടല്‍പ്പാലത്തിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകുന്ന കാറുകളുടെ എണ്ണം 1.03 ലക്ഷമായി മാറുമെന്നാണ് കണക്കുകൂട്ടല്‍. തുടക്കത്തില്‍ ഇത് 39,300 യാത്രാ കാറുകളായിരിക്കുമെന്നും മുംബൈ മെട്രോപൊളിറ്റന്‍ റീജിയണ്‍ ഡവലപ്പ്മെന്റ് അതോറിറ്റിയുടെ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടില്‍ പറയുന്നു.21,200 കോടി രൂപ ചെലവഴിച്ചാണ് ഇത് നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചത്. നൂറ് കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ വരെ വേഗത്തില്‍ യാത്ര ചെയ്യാന്‍ കഴിയുന്ന ക്രമീകരണമാണ് ആറുവരിപ്പാതയില്‍ ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. 16.50 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ കടലിന് മുകളിലും 5.50 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ കരയ്ക്ക് മുകളിലുമായാണ് കടല്‍പ്പാലം നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
