Newsleader – ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ആദ്യ മുസ്ലീം ദേവാലയമെന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ചേരമാന്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശിച്ച് ആസാദ് ലോക്‌സഭാ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് അടുത്തിരിക്കെ ആളും ആരവവുമില്ലാതെയായിരുന്നു ആസാദിന്റെ കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂര്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശനം. ഡെമോക്രാറ്റിക് പ്രോഗ്രസ്സീവ് ആസാദ് പാര്‍ട്ടി സ്ഥാപകനും ജമ്മു കശ്മീര്‍ മുന്‍ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയും, മുന്‍ കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രിയുമായ ഗുലാം നബി ആസാദ്, കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂര്‍ ചേരമാന്‍ ജുമാ മസ്ജിദ് സന്ദര്‍ശിച്ചു. മസ്ജിദില്‍ അദ്ദേഹം നമസ്‌കാരവും നടത്തി. ചരിത്രമുറങ്ങുന്ന മസ്ജിദ് നടന്നുകണ്ട അദ്ദേഹം വിശദാംശങ്ങള്‍ ചോദിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു.
