Newsleader – പ്രതാപന്റെ പ്രസ്താവനയെ വെട്ടി ഇടതുപക്ഷത്ത് നിന്ന് സി.പി.ഐ നേതാവ് മന്ത്രി കെ.രാജന്‍ കളത്തിലിറങ്ങിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു.. പ്രതാപന്റെ പ്രസ്താവന ബി.ജെ.പിയെ സഹായിക്കാനാണെന്നാണ് മന്ത്രി കെ.രാജന്റെ ആരോപണം. എല്‍.ഡി.എഫ് അപ്രസക്തമാണെന്ന തരത്തില്‍ പ്രചരണം നടത്താനുള്ള ആയുധം പ്രതാപന്‍ നല്‍കുകയായിരുന്നുവെന്നും രാജന്‍ പറയുന്നു. അതേസമയം ബി.ജെ.പിയെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് പ്രസ്താവന രാഷ്ടീയ നേട്ടമായി. കഴിഞ്ഞതിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്‍ സുരേഷ് ഗോപി മൂന്നാം സ്ഥാനത്തായിരുന്നു. പക്ഷെ ആറില്‍ നിന്നും 28 ശതമാനമായി ബിജെപിയുടെ വോട്ട് വിഹിതം തൃശ്ശൂരില്‍ ഉയര്‍ന്നത് കാണാതിരിക്കാനാവില്ല
