Newsleader – ഉയര്‍ന്ന മലനിരകളില്‍ കണ്ടുവരുന്ന അപൂര്‍വയിനം വരയാടുകളെ തൃശൂര്‍ ചിമ്മിനിയില് കണ്ടെത്തി. തെക്കന് പശ്ചിമഘട്ടത്തില് 1100 മുതല് 2695 മീറ്റര് വരെ ഉയരമുള്ള പര്വതപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലെ പുല്മേടുകളിലും പാറക്കെട്ടുകളിലും കാണുന്ന രണ്ട് വരയാടുകളെയാണ് കണ്ടത് കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസങ്ങളില് ചിമ്മിനി ഡാമിന്റെ പ്രദേശത്ത് ചുറ്റിക്കറങ്ങുന്നതു വനപാലകര് കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.
